This is done using full containment procedures so that no spreading of dust and mold spores occurs when utilizing air scrubbers and negative air machines.
Mold can cause serious health risks to the occupants of a home or business. It is very important to identify the extent of mold growth and its location since the majority of mold tends to hide inside walls, ceilings, or floor cavities and is not always visible. In addition, airborne mold spores are invisible to the naked eye and require proper assessment and removal to avoid future mold re-growth.
When visible mold is present, we perform a thorough visual inspection of the affected areas, along with moisture readings (if applicable), to evaluate the conditions and extent of the affected area. From there, an estimate for the appropriate scope of work for mold removal and remediation can be verbally provided.
If mold is suspected but not visibly present, a qualified third-party mold testing company should be hired by the homeowner to perform mold and/or air quality testing. Once testing is completed, M.A. Restoration can perform our own visual inspection and review the testing results, as well as any remediation protocol provided by the third-party company. Together, this information provides a full assessment of the affected areas and allows us to develop an appropriate scope of work with a reasonable estimate for the remediation.
M.A. Restoration does not perform mold or air quality testing; this testing is completed by a qualified third-party testing company when necessary.
